A Columbia Heights woman is facing charges after allegedly throwing a knife at her boyfriend and threatening to kill him.

Columbia Heights officers were called to the 4400 block of University Avenue around 7:41 p.m. Sunday, March 2, on a report of a domestic assault.

The victim told police he had been in a relationship with 52-year-old Marguerite Mary Beaupre of Columbia Heights for several months. He told police he was in the kitchen when Beaupre walked in and accused him of cheating on her. She then allegedly grabbed a fillet knife and threw it at him along with pots, pans and other objects.

According to the criminal complaint, Beaupre said she would cut his throat and kill him, so he called 911.

Beaupre has been charged with terroristic threats. If convicted, she faces up to five years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.
