Reporter, KSTP-TV, News/Weather/Sports, Job #99-14
POSTING DATE: November 18, 2014
JOB TITLE: Reporter
COMPANY: KSTP-TV, News/Weather/Sports
STATUS: Full Time, Hourly
Are you ready to report in a top 15 market? We are looking for someone who can enterprise stories, someone who can get “the get” and someone who can ask the critical questions our viewers want to know. We are a station that will invest in you. We will team you up with amazing photojournalists. No MMJ’s here. You get to focus on the storytelling. You can spend your day crafting one incredible story, not 2 or 3. You will work with talented producers who will showcase your work and anchors who actually ask you good questions, instead of something you just said in your pkg. And speaking of packages, is that always the best way to tell your story? Join our team and we’ll brainstorm every day. Maybe your story is better as a debrief/sot in studio. Maybe it’s better to have you do a walk & talk, or something on tape so you can be in on the action instead of standing outside an empty building hours later.
We want critical thinkers. We want good storytellers. We want journalists who can do long-form stories and investigative stories. And we’ll give you the time to do them. Research days really happen here. You also get to break away from the daily grind and go work sources. If you want to grow, if you want to be challenged, KSTP is the station for you.
