Two men have been arrested in connection to two assault and robbery incidents in Eden Prairie that took place an hour apart Sunday afternoon.
About 5:50 p.m., Eden Prairie police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault and robbery at Lifetime Fitness, located at 6233 Baker Road.
An adult male victim was approached in the locker room by two individuals believed to be unknown to him, police said. He was then assaulted and robbed, police said.
About one hour later, police responded to a similar report of an assault and burglary at a residence in the 8000 block of Grier Lane. In this incident, a man was approached inside the entrance to his home by someone believed to be unknown to him, police said. He was also assaulted, police said.
Both victims were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.
Police said they located the men believed to be responsible for both incidents with the help of information from witnesses. The two men were arrested about 7 p.m. on the 11000 block of Westwind Drive for probable cause for third-degree assault and first-degree aggravated robbery.
Both suspects are being held in the Hennepin County Jail.
Police said they are not looking for any additional suspects related to these incidents.
Police anticipate criminal charges will be filed by the Hennepin County Attorney.
