New Brighton police are investigating two recent burglaries that they believe are connected.
Officers from the New Brighton Department of Public Safety were called to the 2700 block of West County Road H around 10:20 a.m. Monday on a report of an interrupted home burglary.
Officers say the suspect apparently fled to the south, but they were unable to find anyone.
While they were searching, the Fridley Police Department was called to a burglary alarm about six blocks away from the first call. They were also unable to find the suspect.
New Brighton officers say the burglaries are consistent with one that happened recently on the 3000 block of Spring Creek Drive.
The suspect in the latest burglary was described as a 30-year-old black man with a medium build who was wearing a dark hat, grey shirt, and white tennis shoes with a distinctive tread pattern.
