Carly Bullock scored twice for Blake to put them up 2-1 through two periods.
With about five minutes to go, Sylvie Wallin pushed the Blake lead to 3-1 - but Melissa Drown's tally for Alexandria 27 seconds later made it 3-2, setting the stage for a furious finish.
Anna Kruesel, Blake's 8th-grader in net, made 15 saves as Blake outshot Alexandria 35-17.
Amy Jost made 33 saves for Alexandria, who narrowly missed pulling off a major upset.
Bullock extended her goal-scoring streak to 15 games.
Blake now stands one game away from a return to the title game despite overcoming several obstacles. They graduated eight players - including Ms. Hockey Dani Cameranesi - and have a roster that's nearly half comprised with players in 9th grade or younger.
Plus, they have been playing without leading scorer Carlie Lund who has been lost to an arm injury.
Blake's State Semifinal on Friday will be a rematch of their game against Red Wing from last year's semifinal round.
