A Minneapolis man has pleaded guilty to fatally shooting a St. Paul bar owner. Twenty-three-year-old Cheng Vang pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.

According to the complaint, Vang came to Malina's Sports Bar early on June 9 after his brother-in-law, 26-year-old Yia Her, called him for help and asked him to bring a gun.

Her told police he had paid $20 to rent a pool table. But when bar owner Vone Moua told him to leave, Her felt he should get his money back.

Moua offered to play Her a game, but that he would have to leave if he lost. Instead, the complaint says, Her got angry and called his brother-in-law.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports Vang is to be sentenced April 7.
