A designer shoe company in Minneapolis will be featured in celebrity swag bags given out at the Oscars. The company will be giving back to the community at the same time.

Max Martin is William Panzarella's flourishing designer shoe company in Minneapolis. It made its official brand launch at the 56th Grammy Awards on Jan. 29.

The shoes are designed to be classic and timeless, Panzarella said. The tagline is, "American Luxury."

A $750 gift card will be included in the swag bag for celebrities to choose a pair of shoes. A pair of his shoes starts at $500.

The cost of all of the items in the bags this year is valued around $55,000 dollars.

Panzarella expects the exposure to help his company's bottom line, but its not just about business.

Panzarella is no stranger to charity. Max Martin is also the name of his rescue dog.

Panzarella, who worked in supply chain shipping for 25 years before founding the shoe company 19 months ago, will be also hosting the official Oscar viewing party at Muse in Minneapolis.

Panzarella said proceeds from the event will benefit the Smile Network and the Aegis Foundation, the charity organization he founded that focuses on giving higher education opportunities to Twin Cities students.

KSTP viewers will receive 50 percent off admission prices to the party. Just enter KSTP as a promo code when signing up for tickets online.

The Oscars will take place on March 2. You can watch them on 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS.

Another Minneapolis-based company, Aviv 613 Vodka, will also be in this year's bags.
