While the rest of the Minnesota Timberwolves are relaxing away from the game, Kevin Love's schedule is full.
The activities are welcomed, of course, as part of NBA All-Star weekend in New Orleans. Love will take part in off-the-court events in the community, media sessions and practice for the big event.
The three-time All-Star was picked as a starter for the Western Conference team for the first time. The game is on Sunday.
Before that, on Saturday during the skills showcases, Love will participate in the three-point shooting contest. He's the only power forward and the tallest of the eight players in the competition.
Love is among the NBA league leaders in scoring and rebounds at the break, averaging 25.8 points and 13.2 rebounds per contest.
The Timberwolves stumbled into the All-Star Break, losing four of its last five games.
