The DFL caucus held at Brian Coyle Community Center, which was broken up after a fight, has been rescheduled.

The Minneapolis Ward-6, Precinct-3 caucus will reconvene Wednesday, Feb. 19.

“The caucus will be held at the Grand Hall in Coffman Union on the University of Minnesota campus,” Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Chairman Ken Martin said. “Registration begins at 5 p.m. and caucus convenes at 7 p.m. The only business of the caucus will be to elect convention delegates and alternates.”

Because the Feb. 4 caucus ended while registration was under way, any member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party living in the precinct may attend. Bus transportation will be provided free of charge to and from the Brian Coyle Community Center.

“We are working extremely hard to engage people in the political process and provide an opportunity for them to have their voice heard,” Martin said.

Many people at the center want Minneapolis school board member Mohamud Noor to challenge longtime State Representative Phyllis Kahn for her seat.

Police were called and had to go in several times. Police said there was shoving and threats.

Organizers later shut the meeting down.
