Kevin McHale returns to Target Center tonight.

The former Minnesota Timberwolves coach and current Houston Rockets coach will game plan for a Timberwolves team that may or may not have power forward Kevin Love on the floor. A bruised left quad kept Love on the bench Saturday against Portland.

The Wolves don't have shootaround until late this afternoon. It's expected then that they will announce if Love can play tonight.

Following the Rockets' Monday morning practice, McHale talked about the player Love has become. McHale said Love's ability to "rebound at a high level" and shoot three-pointers has turned him into a top player.

McHale also talked about the disappearance of traditional power forwards, saying today's game is dominated by posts who can "pick and pop." But he said the game goes through phases.

The Timberwolves and Rockets tip-off at 7 p.m. at Target Center.
