I just finished watching a review copy of Anchor Bay’s “Scorned” this past weekend, and I really enjoyed it a lot.
“Scorned” was directed by Mark Jones and stars, AnnaLynne McCord, Billy Zane, and Viva Bianca.
“Scorned” is about a woman named Sadie (AnnaLynne McCord) who discovers that her boyfriend Kevin (Billy Zane) is cheating on her with her best friend Jennifer (Viva Bianca). Sadie reads a text on Kevin’s cellphone and is determined to get back at the both of them.
I’m not going to five away the whole movie, but Sadie decides to lure Jennifer to the house where she and Kevin are spending a weekend by sending Jennifer a text message with Kevin’s phone. Jennifer shows up, and then the chaos begins.
I really though the story was great and very entertaining. It was also very suspenseful, because you didn’t know what kind of sick and twisted things Sadie was going to do next. I really liked the fact that the movies does not waste any time and gets right to the point immediately. Within the first fifteen minutes of the film, you learn all about the characters, and Jennifer is at the house tied up with Kevin.
I also liked the fact that at the beginning of the film there are some flashbacks about Sadie’s past that really don’t make any sense, but as the movie goes on, you do learn about her past and what the flashbacks were about.
There are a lot of great and interesting twists that make this a very fun and thrilling film to watch.
I really enjoyed Anchor Bay’s “Scorned” Blu-ray a lot. I thought the story was interesting and very entertaining, and it will have you on the edge of your seat. I really thought that the acting was good and the characters were believable. I would highly recommend that you check “Scorned” out if you are looking for a good thriller or are looking for something new.
“Scorned” is rated “R” for Violence, sexual content and language.
