With more than 100 years of rich history behind it, a St. Paul tradition - the St. Paul Winter Carnival - kicks off Thursday.

Ted Natus, King Boreas the 77th, joined Brad Sattin live from St. Paul's Rice Park to talk about the history behind the winter-themed carnival.

The Moon Glow Parade is at 6 p.m. and the Klondike Kate Cabaret is at 8 p.m. at Harriet Island. Tickets for the cabaret are $20.
