New numbers from the Minnesota Department of Health show the flu is making its move across the state.

36 people were hospitalized this past week, which is up from 24 the week before.

Last season more than 230 Minnesotans died because of the flu.

Doctor Frank Rhame, an infectious disease specialist with Allina Medical Center, stopped by KSTP to talk about how this season compares to the last and what kind of flu strands are seen this year.
