Skiers and snowboarders looking to try new freestyle trick training will get a chance once again as Buck Hill in Burnsville brings back the airbag jump Thursday.
The airbag is used as a safety cushion to softly catch riders after a jump, whether it is a beginner level skier or a professional rider.
The new airbag is 50 foot by 50 foot inflatable bag with adjustable vents to allow for varying softness. Skiers or snowboarders go off a 15’ high snow jump and land on the airbag to help reduce the risk of injury.
The bag is open now until Dec. 31. It costs anywhere from $5 for two jumps and $35 for 20 jumps.
See video of the airbag from last year in the video box above.
