It’s the time of year when many employees are selecting health coverage through open enrollment.
It’s also a good time to re-evaluate your health needs in the coming year.
If you know that you’ll have a major surgery or need long-term care, you will want to make sure you have the right coverage.
Angie Hicks, founder of Angie’s List, said many people often overlook whether their doctor will continue accepting their insurance in the coming year.
“Be sure you have a conversation with your doctor, especially if you’re in the term of a longer-term treatment plan because the last thing you want is to change your doctor in the middle of treatment because of an insurance issue.”
