Skies are expected to be cloudy throughout Friday, according to KSTP's Patrick Hammer.
Temperatures are expected to reach 18 degrees by noon and possibly top off around 20 degrees.
Southeastern Minnesota is experiencing snow after a light dusting occurred across the Twin Cities earlier Friday morning.
Snow can be swept away because we only got an inch or two, but there will be another bout of light snowfall Friday night.
A storm system developing in the Northwest could reach Minnesota next.
Hammer said weekend travel will be easier on Saturday than Sunday; we are expected to see blowing snow Sunday.
Temperatures around 20 degrees are expected for Christmas Eve. Even though it will be warm, Hammer said there is a 100 percent of a white Christmas.
The snow and cold has been repetitious and accumulating. Unlike last year, it did not come from one big storm. Instead, it came from many little snow bursts.
