Many Minnesotans will travel this weekend heading to see family and friends for the holidays. There will be some travel trouble spots with a winter storm bearing down on the Midwest.

5 Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl says on Saturday, Des Moines, Iowa will be slow going. Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago are travel trouble spots for Sunday. As the storm moves east, Detroit may be impacted on Monday.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport has six hundred mats on stand-by for passengers if they have to spend the night at the terminal this weekend.
