Wis. Man Killed after Car Stalls on Interstate, Gets Hit by Semi

A 32-year-old Wisconsin man is dead after a crash in Clay County early Monday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Vincent O’Connor of Antigo, Wis., was driving eastbound on Interstate 94 around 4:24 a.m. when he lost control, hit a guardrail and stalled sideways in both eastbound lanes.

A semi driven by 63-year-old Billy Diesem of Dickinson, N.D., collided with the stalled vehicle, killing O’Connor, according to the State Patrol.

Diesem had non-life threatening injuries.

The Barnesville Police Department and Clay County Sheriff Office responded.
