Frigid temperatures in Wisconsin are keeping plumbers busy.
They're dealing with frozen pipes that burst in residential properties.
Luke Bauer of Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection says every homeowner should know where their water main shut off valve is located. He tells WKOW-TV that it's the first thing to do if a pipe freezes.
The city of Madison also has issues with its water system. Crews have been working around the clock to repair at least a dozen water main breaks throughout the city this week. Madison water utility spokeswoman Amy Barrilleaux says there wasn't enough insulating snow on the ground before temperatures plunged.
Forecasters don't expect temperatures to get above zero Wednesday in northern Wisconsin.
