Santa Claus is making a special cyber-stop in the Twin Cities Monday.
Patients at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital will get a chance to tell Santa what they want for Christmas over an iPad or mobile video conferencing cart.
The hospital is partnering with Cisco Systems and Video Guidance to make the event happen.
Patients can talk with Santa through a wide-screen monitor in the lobby, and those who aren’t feeling well won’t even have to leave their bed – an iPad will be brought to them instead.
Organizers say about 50 hospitals in North America will participate in the Cisco Santa Connection Program this holiday season.
The event takes place from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Monday at the hospital.
