Thousands of people are expected Thursday at Mall of America to honor Zach Sobiech by singing his signature song, "Clouds."
Marking the one-year anniversary of the debut of "Clouds," area schools and church choirs along with thousands of individuals of all ages will join together Thursday, Dec. 5, in the mall's rotunda to sing the heartfelt and catchy lyrics of Clouds in honor of Sobiech.
The Lakeland, Minn., teen died in May 2013 from osteosarcoma.
Sobiech first shared his story and music on behalf of Children’s Cancer Research Fund at last year’s “KS95 for Kids” Radiothon. The music video for "Clouds" has 8.3 million views and it rose to number one on iTunes. More than 11 million have watched the documentary that chronicled his last days.
The event, “Largest Clouds Choir,” is a part of the “KS95 for Kids Radiothon" benefiting Children’s Cancer Research Fund and Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare.
