The holidays can be tough, especially on our bodies. KSTP spoke with a local ER nurse who told us a lot of people will get sick.
"It's Thanksgiving; people are going to eat a lot. Indigestion, upset stomachs, possible food poison, and these things can be confused with cardiac events,“ said Michelle Lambertz, a Hennepin County Emergency Department Nurse.
A 2004 study, that looked at 53 million death certificates over 30 years, found there are five percent more heart-related deaths during this time of year.
It may be linked to stress or even the cold weather, according to the study.
If you experience what you think might be a heart attack get to the ER.
