The weekend is nearly upon us and there are plenty of events happening in the Twin Cities. Bradley Traynor from MY TALK 107.1 joined Rusty Gatenby in-studio to talk about some of the highlights. This weekend: shopping for art, green gifts and a boutique tour.
This weekend might be a good chance to snag art created by students for rock-bottom prices at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design 16th annual art sale. All the proceeds from the event scheduled for Thursday to Saturday, will benefit scholarship funds for students.
For the environmentally-conscious holiday gifter the Midtown Global Market will host a Green Gifts Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. More than 75 local artists and craftsmen will be selling their ware, and lunch will be available for purchase.
Not everyone loves spending time doing holiday shopping, so why not get it all done in one day on the One and Done Holiday Shopping Tour. Ride a bus from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, and stop at a number of popular of Twin Cities boutiques.
