The annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at St. Paul's Rice Park is nearly two weeks away, but we got an early look at the star of the show.

A Roseville homeowner offered up a 65-foot-tall spruce.

It's so big that crews needed a crane and a flat-bed semi truck to haul it away.

Next, the tree will be decorated with more than 15,000 LED lights and topped with a 6-foot star.

KSTP's Dave Dahl will help light the Christmas tree in Rice Park on Saturday Nov. 30.
