Minnetonka Event Educates About Diabetes

Type one diabetes patients were given a lesson about living with the condition.

One Saturday, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation held its Reach and Teach U event in Minnetonka.    

KSTP caught up with the Morrow family. Their daughter spent 600 hours in community service with other students making these paper chains and ribbons.

The goal is to educate classmates about diabetes.

Organizers say the event gives patients a feeling of partnership as they battle the condition.
