I just played a very addicting game by GameMill Entertainment called “Doodle Jump Adventures” for the Nintendo 3DS.
In “Doodle Jump Adventures” you control a four-legged strange-looking character named “Doodle the Doodler” through many challenging levels. The thing that makes “Doodle Jump Adventures” unique is that you have to bounce Doodle up toward a goal while dodging obstacles and fighting enemies.
Throughout the level there are platforms that you must bounce Doodle on. There are some that will break right away, and you can also bounce off enemies and cannon balls as you make your way up.
Some of the obstacles that you have to avoid are black holes, bricks, cannons, mine shooters, and vortexes. If you get hit or miss a platform, you will have to start all over again. Timing is a key factor in this game.
There are power ups that will help you. There are springs, trampolines, propeller hats, jet packs, spring shoes and space ships that will launch you in the air and closer to your goal.
Coins (world treasures) are scattered throughout the level. There are three world treasures in each level, and there are also keys that will unlock hidden bonus levels.
There are a total of four worlds and each one contains multiple levels with a boss at the end. Once you defeat the boss, a new and more challenging world will open up. Once you beat the adventure mode, endless mode will unlock. The cool thing about endless mode is that there is no end, and you just keep bouncing up and up. I thought it was fun to try and beat my score each time I played.
Controlling Doodle is extremely simple. To make Doodle bounce left or right, you have to physically tilt the 3DS in that direction, which I thought was awesome. I was very impressed by how well you were able to control Doodle and the controls were very precise.
Doodle can also shoot if you push one of the buttons. This is really helpful when there are enemies above you.
I really thought GameMill Entertainment’s “Doodle Jump Adventures” for the Nintendo 3DS was excellent. It is a simple game to play, and it is very addicting. Controlling Doodle is easy, and I thought it was a very challenging game. There are exciting new levels to play, and the endless mode is really cool. I think that people who are fans of “Doodle Jumper” or are looking for a simple, but yet unique game will really enjoy “Doodle Jumper Adventures” a lot.
“Doodle Jump Adventures” is rated “E” for everyone.
