Block Evacuated After 'Suspicious Package' Found in St. Paul

A block in North St. Paul was evacuated Thursday afternoon after a "suspicious package" was left on a sidewalk in front of a business.

The bomb squad was called in and the package was detonated at 3:30 p.m.

According to the North St. Paul Police Department, although the package was not a bomb, it was made to look like one.

After the package was detonated, the evacuation was lifted.

Police are now investigating.
