The weekend is nearly upon us and there are plenty of events happening in the Twin Cities. Bradley Traynor from MY TALK 107.1 joined Rusty Gatenby in-studio to talk about some of the highlights. This week: "A Christmas Carol," "Cinderella" and art.

Kick off the holiday season with the 39th annual Guthrie Theatre production of the holiday classic "A Christmas Carol." The show starts Thursday and runs through Dec. 31. Use the promo code "5" to get half off tickets.

The Children's Theatre will put on "Cinderella" starting Nov. 12 to Jan. 5. The show is for kids and adults, and puts a twist on the story with cross-dressing step sisters.

Traynor himself will host an art opening and conversation with Leslie Hold Thursday night at the Burnet Gallery. The pieces feature Hello Kitty inserted into modern pieces of art.
