Hundreds of Sprint customers across the Twin Cities were experiencing outages with voice service Saturday morning.
Sprint spokeswoman Stephanie Vinge Walsh tells KSTP a fiber was cut and customers were unable to make phone calls. She could not confirm how it happened.
She said crews repaired the fiber about 2.5 hours later Saturday afternoon.
A number of Sprint customers called the newsroom reporting their cell phone service was not working.
At this point it's unclear just how many customers were without cell service.
Sprint customers were unable to access voice service from about 8:45 a.m. to 11:20 a.m., said Walsh. Data and text service were uninterrupted.
