The weekend is nearly upon us and there are plenty of events happening in the Twin Cities. Bradley Traynor from MY TALK 107.1 joined Rusty Gatenby in-studio to talk about some of the highlights. This week: prohibition, luxury boutique, and St. Martin's Day.

The Minnesota History Center is opening "American Spirits: Rise and Fall of the Prohibition" Saturday. The exhibit will be open until March 16 and features artifacts from the 1930s era and a recreated speakeasy.

Benilde-St. Margaret school will host an luxury shopping event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, modeled after London's Knightsbridge Boutique retail district. Shoppers can browse 66 clothing, jewelry, spa and household retailers with 15 percent of proceeds benefiting BSM's scholarship programs.

The Landmark Center in St. Paul will celebrate St. Martin's Day, a German fall festival, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Come and enjoy German treats, crafts, songs and a parade.
