Local Company Builds Ramp for Homebound Minneapolis Man

Chandler, Inc. and volunteers with Caring Souls built a ramp and repaired a house for a Minneapolis man confined to his home since April 2012 because of a foot disease.

The Afton-based, family-owned design and fabrication firm volunteered to help Walter Thrun of Minneapolis.

Thrun was a legal medical consultant at the University of Minnesota before the disease in his foot left him disabled. He needed the ramp to get out of the house and attend treatment.

Chandler employees also cleaned the inside of the house, fixed kitchen cabinets, kitchen roof and the shower.
