The days of Blockbuster stores are coming to an end.
Blockbuster announced it will close the rest of its 300 locations by early January. That includes four locations in the Twin Cities. The stores are located in Uptown, West St. Paul, Bloomington and Rosemount.
Blockbuster will also discontinue its DVD by mail service by the middle of next month.
Dish network bought Blockbuster in 2011 and has gradually closed all 1,700 stores.
