Woman Hit, Killed Crossing Highway 120 in Maplewood

A pedestrian was killed when she was hit by an SUV in Maplewood Monday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, two pedestrians were walking southbound on the right shoulder of Highway 120 around 5:45 p.m. Police say the pedestrians jaywalked across the highway just north of 10th Street, and one of them was hit by a 2011 Ford Escape driven by 78-year-old Maxine Vanderhoff of Maplewood.

The Maplewood Police Department and the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office responded.

The victim has not yet been identified.
