Eagan citizens reported more than 25 cases of vehicles that were broken into during the overnight hours between Tuesday and Wednesday.
The reports came from the areas near the intersections of Yankee Doodle Road and Federal Drive, Pilot Knob Road and Crestridge Lane, and Pilot Knob Road and Diffley Road.
Eagan police said that most of the cars had shattered windows and missing property. Sunglasses, tools and electronics were stolen. Some people reported hearing the glass break, but didn’t see anyone in the area, indicating the perpetrators acted quickly.
Police are investigating these cases, but said the crime is preventable if people remove personal property from their vehicles that perpetrators often target.
People with information on these incidents or any other suspicious activity should call the Eagan Police Department at 651-675-5700.
