KSTP Meteorologist Patrick Hammer says you probably won't need to leave too early Tuesday morning as the chance of a snowy morning commute is dwindling. Patrick says the dry air will limit any snow, and most of the state will only see a coating at best.

Patrick says some areas in southern and central Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, could see a snow coating on grassy surfaces between 6 and 9 a.m. with a transition to rain showers or drizzle later Tuesday morning into the afternoon.

KSTP Meteorologist Dave Dahl says any snow is not expected to stick around as rain mixes in around 9 a.m. Tuesday. The rain could continue through Tuesday afternoon and into Wednesday.

It should be a little warmer Wednesday before temperatures drop again for Halloween on Thursday. Dave says we could see a mix of light snow and rain again by early Thursday morning.

Temperatures should climb into the low to mid 50s for both Saturday and Sunday.
