The Minnesota Wild is hosting an event to raise money to fight cancer.

'Hockey Fights Cancer Night' takes place Tuesday, Oct. 22 as the Wild take on the Nashville Predators at 7 p.m. at the Xcel Energy Center.

According to the Minnesota Wild, its October Charity of the Month is St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

At Tuesday night's game fans can purchase Hockey Fights Cancer shirts and bracelets. A portion of the proceeds will help raise awareness about cancer.

The Wild organization and players donated seats for pediatric cancer patients and organizations. The Wild will present a $5,000 check to Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota at the game.
