If you don’t know what to do with your pumpkins after Halloween there is a solution. It’s one that can help the environment and it’s free.
A recycle station has been set up that allows residents of Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Crystal and New Hope to drop off their pumpkins at no cost.
From Friday, Nov. 1 through Thursday, Nov. 7, a container will be set up in Central Park across the street from Brooklyn Park’s Operations and Maintenance building. It’s located at 8300 Noble Ave North.
The pumpkins will be made into compost that will be used to make soil and landscapes healthy.
Pumpkins can be dropped off at this location at any time of day. All candles, candle wax and decorations must be removed before disposal.
