Woodbury High School actors are gearing up for the fall performance of “Guys and Dolls.”

The classic musical tells the story of a New York gambler who is challenged to take a woman missionary to Havana, but they fall for each other. The bet has a hidden motive to finance a crap game.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Nov. 1, 2, 7, 8, and 9 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 3.

An opening night reception will be held after the first performance and is an opportunity to mingle with cast members and enjoy dessert. Money donated at the reception will benefit the Christian Cupboard and Joseph’s Coat.

In the spirit of “Guys and Dolls,” audience members are also encouraged to bring action figures, Barbies, and children’s games to all of the performances to be donated to kids in need in the community.

Tickets are available online at whsspeechtheatre.com.
