NASA hasn’t put a man on the moon in decades, but it will be putting some University of North Dakota students on it – kind of.

The students are preparing for a 10-day NASA-funded Lunar Simulation. Four of those days will be spent living in a one-of-a-kind lunar habitat.

Students will have everything from space suits to rovers. The goal is to conduct several projects for space research and exploration.

This isn’t UND’s only connection to NASA; Minnesota astronaut Karen Nyberg, who is up in the International Space Station right now, graduated from the university.
