A second Surdyk’s Flights restaurant opened Monday at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport as part of a plan to more prominently feature Minnesota brands at the airport.
Previously, the only Surdyk’s location at the airport was in Terminal 1, where it has been since August 2010.
“The Terminal 1 Surdyk’s has become a traveler favorite, and we expect the second location will be just as popular,” said Jeff Hamiel, executive director and CEO of the Metropolitan Airports Commission, which owns and operates MSP.
The new location will offer a 55-seat full-service restaurant, bar, and food and wine market, offering gourmet food items ranging from cheeses, meats, olives and salads to crème brulee, dark Belgian chocolate brownies, tiramisu, and salted caramel pudding.
The menu pairs wines with food selections and based on geography and grape variety.
Surdyk’s Flights is located in a new area of Terminal 2 near Cocina del Barrio, Caribou Coffee, Subway and Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine News & Gifts across from gates H8-H10. It is open daily 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
