More than a half million kids play hockey in the United States, and there's a renewed push to keep them from getting hurt.

The national governing body for the sport, USA Hockey, just released a new video, Head Up Don't Duck. It demonstrates better ways for heads up play on the ice.

This could keep some athletes from ending up in a wheelchair, according to officials.

Now hockey coaches and medical professionals are hoping some simple strategies can prevent long-term and dangerous injuries.
