Travel Thursday: Govt. Shutdown Closes Popular Travel Sites

Will the ongoing government shutdown affect your travel plans? The short answer--probably.

Travelers will still be able to get around, but some places people want to visit might be closed.

As KSTP mentioned, national parks like Yosemite and Yellowstone are closed and so are national museums.

Visitors are being turned away at entrance gates and those who have been staying at the campsites had to be out by Thursday afternoon.

Amtrak and all airports are all operating normally.
