A local hospital is turning to robots to do its dirty work.

Fairview Southdale is employing three robots to eliminate hard-to-kill bugs. The futuristic machines use powerful ultraviolet lights to destroy bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Hospital officials say it only takes minutes and enhances patient safety.
