Travel Thursday: Hotel Rates to Rise for Business Travelers

Staying in a hotel will likely cost business travelers more next year. A New York University study found they can expect to pay up to 6 percent more - mostly because hotels aren't dropping corporate rates now that the economy is improving.

USA Today found that on average, daily rates for all U.S. hotels went up about 4.5 percent this year from last.
