INTERVIEW: Concussions, Brain Injuries and Safety on the Field

Greg Nelson's 16-year-old son, Luke, collapsed during Dassel-Cokato's game against Orono Friday night.

Luke was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center- where surgeons removed half of his skull to ease pressure on his brain. His parents told us he was doing better Sunday - even able to tell jokes.
The incident again brings up questions about concussions, brain injuries and safety on the field.

Sara Oxborough, Director of Physical Therapy at the National Dizzy and Balance Center stopped by KSTP to talk more about it.
