INTERVIEW: Minnesota’s Cancer Prevention Efforts

About 1.6 million people in the United States will be diagnosed with cancer this year, and more than half a million people will die from it.

In Minnesota alone that’s 28,000 people diagnosed and 10,000 more losing their lives.

Is the state and nation doing enough to help residents fight or prevent the disease? Matt Schafer with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network joined 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Wednesday morning with more on a new study and how Minnesota measures up.
