Thousands of Minnesotans went to the Minnesota State Fair and voted in the annual poll conducted by the Minnesota House of Representatives.
Here are some of the results of the unscientific/opinion poll:
More than 65 percent want Minnesota’s minimum wage to increase to $8.50 an hour.
On gun control, more than 82 percent support a required background check for purchases made from a private seller at a gun show.
Finally, about 75 percent think doctors should be allowed to prescribe medical marijuana to seriously ill people.
