Twins Quiet on Deadline Day; Morneau Stays
Major League Baseball's trading deadline passed and the Minnesota Twins only made one minor deal.
The Twins traded minor league catcher Drew Butera to the Los Angeles Dodgers from a player to be named later. Butera has played 186 games with the Twins in his career, but just two this season.
The big rumor heading into the trade deadline was that first baseman Justin Morneau would be traded, but that was not the case, at least for now. Morneau could still be dealt in August if he clears waivers. Morneau has hit 212 career home runs and has spent his entire MLB career in a Twins uniform.
