Xcel Energy Statement

“Customer service is a top priority for Xcel Energy, and so we regret that our actions created a concern with this customer. We regularly test our natural gas meters at customers' homes to ensure they are working properly. Our standard practice is to leave information with the customer that clearly explains what was done, but in this case that did not happen. We are reviewing our customer communications process and will make necessary changes to avoid this problem in the future.”
