Deadly Head-On Crash in Cottonwood Co. in Southwest Minn.
A man from southwest Minnesota is dead after a head-on crash on Highway 62 near Windom.
The Minnesota State Patrol said 39-year-old Jason Steffes of Balaton was eastbound on Highway 62 in Cottonwood County, when his vehicle collided with another vehicle headed east around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Steffes was found dead at the scene just west of Windom.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle, 24-four-year-old Cody Falk, of St. James, and his passenger 20-year-old Nathan Gisch, of Mountain Lake, both suffered non-life threatening injuries. They were taken to a hospital in Windom.
The crash is still under investigation.
